Sydney Job Market Update: June / July 2024

Job opportunities in all monitored categories within Sydney have continue their downward trend, as the employment market continues to be constrained by difficult economic conditions and weak business confidence.

Market Observations:

• Month to month, nationally job advertisement fell 1.5%, while applications rose by 3% nationally in the month of June.

• Year to Year, overall job advertisements nationally fell 17.1%. The largest annual drop was ICT roles, which fell 30% from June 2023 to June 2024. (Seek)
